The Bay Area family has been baking and loving it for three decades. In that time, the family has worked with and studied at culinary schools all over Europe and North America. They've dedicated their energy, resources and lives to the art and the craft of baking. This is what they do. They've done it for years and they'll continue to do it for many more to come.
This dairy, one of the 23 in Marin County, has about 270 milk cows. By most counts, the dairy is slightly smaller than the average Marin county dairy (which has around 330 milk cows). Everything they make is free of artificial hormones, completely organic and traded fairly.
The cooperatively run butcher shop has built a cult of followers and supporters that refuse to buy their meat anywhere else. They've made a name for themselves by showing that ethical doesn't have to be expensive.
